Information

We understand you have questions about planning your event with 20B10M. We've compiled a list of frequently asked questions to help address your concerns and provide clarity about our event planning services. Explore the answers below to understand how we can contribute to your event's success in Novaggio, Switzerland.

Frequently asked questions

At 20B10M, we believe in transparency and open communication. Here are some of the most common questions we receive. If you have additional inquiries, please don't hesitate to contact us.

It is all organized by third parties, or do we need to contribute with something?

It is acknowledged that this is a joint venture in which all participants are encouraged to contribute voluntarily and on an equal footing.

External factors such as adverse weather conditions are beyond individual responsibility, and no single participant shall be held individually accountable for the overall outcome.

How will we commute?

Transportation logistics are a key part of our planning process. We have some transportation arrangements, ensuring seamless commutes to and from the event venue in Novaggio, Switzerland.

There are two cars.

Nevertheless, we also acknowledge that there could be some constraints, e.g. some drivers are not fully comfortable driving at nighttime. As well, some vehicles are more ecological than others :-) . But might require a more frequent stoppage.

Unless otherwise advised, fuel costs are not to be shared among participants.

The best solution will depend on the specific location and number of attendees.

Food & Drinks

Will food be provided? / Should I bring something? (snacks, drinks) /Are there vegetarian / vegan / gluten-free options?  /Will alcohol be available? /Is there a cost contribution for groceries?

"We eat what we hunt" ; in other words, we need to provide everything by our selfs : we shall share some "bring-in" list (still to be defined in which form).

So far, nobody's known as "not balkan", so vegan options are excluded.

Alcohol follows the same rules, we need to provide everything.

Costs to be shared, so I would advise to keep all receipts in case we need to have a reimbursement.

Equipment & Music

What sound system is available?

Can I connect my phone / laptop / DJ equipment?

Are there games (table tennis, pétanque, board games…)?

We need to bring the sounds system; while we could also rent locally, I think it is easier to bring our own (BYO) ; Petru / Vaiva will come with some.
Playlists will be made according to expressed wishes, and so will the thematics; we'll run a poll.

There is a table foot (Onic) and plenty of board games. We think of appointing a Games Master. Any proposals ?

There is also a SMARTTv on site, it should be fine to connect our sources (youtube premium, etc.)

Rules & Safety

  • Are there neighbors we need to keep the noise down for?

  • Are any areas of the villa off-limits?

  • How should we handle waste and recycling?

  • Where are emergency exits / fire extinguishers?

There are no neighbors in the immediate vicinity; we're quite on our own.

There are no fences, but also I don't think is possible to go off-limits, other than the normal road.

For the waste, we'll have to get organized; normally, in CH πŸ“ŒπŸ«•it is mandatory, so we'll have dedicated containers, and I think we'll even go to dispose them.

I haven't checked for fire extinguishers, but I'll verify with the hosts.

Contributions

  • Should guests chip in financially?

  • Can people help with preparation or clean-up?

  • Is there a schedule for tidying up afterwards?

Yes;

Yes;

Yes;

Activities

  • Is there anything planned?

  • How will be possible to survive from boredom?

There is a daily schedule already available (draft) ; it must be consolidated and further refined.

But if some of you don't want to stick to a fixed program, you are free to do whatever you want.

Moreover, we think about proposing some alternatives (e.g. for trekking some different tracks or places to go.

Sharing is caring

To get all your inputs, and to allow each and every one express him/herself, we think to use some collaborative tools (besides the whatssapp group provided by our faithful ITSupport.

I am thinking of docs.google.com (for documents)

and

An app (any list) for checklists.

How much it will finally cost us? Do we have an estimate, a cost-breakdown somewhere?

Cost transparency is a priority for 20B10M.

We provide detailed estimates and cost breakdowns tailored to your event needs. After discussing your vision and requirements, we'll prepare a comprehensive proposal outlining all anticipated costs.

We work closely with you to stay within your budget and avoid surprises.

Nonetheless, it is expected to share some of the costs (beside accommodation).

Appointing someone to oversee costs (CCC : const controlling center) would be helpful; I can’t think of a better candidate than Edi.

Transportation: What is the exact address of the villa? How do I get there? (GPS link, directions)? Is there parking available? How many spaces?

4 Via Pazz, 6986 Novaggio, Switzerland, Novaggio, CH
Latitude 46.0114096, Longitude 8.8482178

Careful, there are quite narrow streets until there, but it is doable.
Another thing " At the entrance to the villa, there is a rather steep ramp. If the cars are heavy and low, they might scrape; you need to drive very slowly, gently, and at an angle."

Accommodation & Sleeping Arrangements

How many beds or sleeping spots are available? / Should I bring a sleeping bag / pillow / towel? /Are rooms assigned or first-come, first-served? /Where can we safely leave personal belongings?

There are 4 bedrooms available, each has a double bed setting. Extensive documentation has been provided.  Two bedrooms are located on each floor. There is an additional room with bunk beds, but it is normally unavailable (although we can request access at an extra cost). Room allocation as “FILO”, starting from the upper floor and moving downward.
No additional items are necessary, but feel free to bring your own towels, extra pillow (Petru) , etc.

Pool / Outdoor Area

  • Is the pool usable? Any rules?

  • Should I bring a swimsuit and towel?

  • Is there a barbecue / jacuzzi / outdoor area?

There is no pool, but there is an outside shower; guests are welcomed to use it.

Swimsuits are not really mandatory.

There is a barbecue area, we'll most likely use it for mici or other meat cooking. Hopefully it will not rain.

Dress Code

  • Is there a theme or specific dress code?

  • Should I bring warm clothes for the evening?

  • Are outdoor-friendly shoes recommended?

We're still ought to determine the "New Year's Eve" theme: we'll organize soon a dedicated poll.

Meanwhile, dressing is fully casual, consider bringing hiking and trekking gear.

Otherwise, consult frequently https://www.meteoswiss.admin.ch/

or the app : " MeteoSwiss App":

(obviously, you get use your own preferred météo service)

Communication

  • Is there a WhatsApp /  group for updates?

  • Who should we contact if we are late or have an issue?

  • Is there good mobile network / Wi-Fi on site?

We have a Whatsapp group, created by our trustful ITSupport

In case of issues, see "Contacts"

There is local WiFi : password will be provided (if not on the back of the router)

Showering, Bathing, Toilets

There are 3 (three) toilets available, so I suppose this won't pose any problems.

There are only two shower rooms, and the warm water comes ONLY from solar panels. If the panels are covered, there is no warm water; an electric boiler kicks-in only at 22:00 in the night (or something like this).

There might be no warm water in morning either. We'll have to be somehow creative.

Or to stink

Can I drink water from the tap

Normally, tap water is absolutely safe. We don't need to buy bottled water, unless someone needs sparkling water
